FFL Transfers

Every firearm we sell ships to a licensed FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer in your area, where you complete the federal background check and pick up your firearm. This is the legal, standard process for buying a gun online in the United States.

How an FFL Transfer Works

  1. Place your order. Add your firearm to the cart and check out as you would any online purchase. Ammunition, accessories, and non-firearm items ship directly to your door.
  2. Choose your local FFL. After ordering, email us your dealer’s name and address, or have your dealer send us a copy of their FFL license. Most gun shops, pawn shops, and many sporting-goods stores offer transfer services.
  3. We ship to your FFL. Your firearm is shipped directly to that licensed dealer — never to a private residence.
  4. Complete the transfer. Visit your dealer with a valid government-issued photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473, and pass the background check (NICS). Your dealer hands over your firearm.

What You Need

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID with your current address
  • To meet the minimum age: 18+ for rifles and shotguns, 21+ for handguns
  • To pass a federal background check at the receiving FFL
  • To comply with your state and local firearm laws

Transfer Fees

Receiving FFL dealers charge a transfer fee for processing the background check and paperwork. This fee is set by and paid to the dealer (commonly $20–$50) and is separate from your purchase. Contact your chosen dealer to confirm their fee before ordering.

State Restrictions

Some firearms, magazines, and configurations are restricted in certain states and municipalities. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure a firearm is legal in their jurisdiction before ordering. If a transfer cannot be legally completed, we will work with you on a return per our policy.
